"Engine Idle Shutdown" switch
Note: The "Engine Idle" shutdown feature is enabled via the machine software. The "Engine Idle" shutdown feature is optional and thus may not be installed on your machine.When the "Engine Idle" switch is pressed in the up position, indicated by the arrow in Illustration 1, the engine idle shutdown period begins. The engine idle shutdown period is canceled when the "Engine Idle" switch is pressed in the down position. Press the down position on the "Engine Idle Shutdown" switch and turn the key switch off (while the engine is running) to override the "Engine Idle" function. An E85 event code is activated to confirm that the "Engine Idle" function was aborted.The "Idle Shutdown Timer" control allows the engine to cool down after operation. The cool down period is intended to extend the life of components that operate at elevated temperatures during operation. The "Idle Shutdown Timer" control is activated in the running status of the engine, when an operator exits the machine. After a period, the machine shuts down automatically.Backlight Intensity Control

Backlight switch
This control allows the operator to adjust the backlit components of the cab manually through a rocker switch. The backlit components are generally rocker switches and displays.Requested Gear Command
The "Chassis ECM" reads the shift lever. The "Chassis ECM" determines the requested speed range that should be sent to the "Transmission ECM". The "Chassis ECM" monitors to the position of the shift lever and other conditions on the machine. This value of the speed range is called the "Requested Gear Command".
