Calibration Procedure
Move the machine away from other operating machines and away from personnel. Park the machine on a smooth, level surface. Lower the work tool to the ground. Stop the engine.

Connect the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) to the machine.Reference: For additional information on use of the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET), refer to Troubleshooting and Testing and Adjusting, "Using Caterpillar Electronic Technician to Determine Diagnostic Codes" for the machine that is being serviced.
Start the machine.
Open the software program for the ET.Note: Ensure that there are no active diagnostic codes for the hardware faults.
Select "Implement " for the machine that is being serviced from the "ECM Selector" screen. Click on the "OK" button.
Select "Service" menu in the ET.
Select "Calibrations" from the "Service" menu.
Select " Valve Calibration" from the "Calibrations" menu.Note: The ET software defaults so that all the valve calibrations will be selected. Select the check mark button next to an individual valve calibration in order to remove one or more calibrations.
