Information:

Linkage (From Rockshaft to Hitch Position Rotary Sensor)1. Linkage to hitch position rotary sensor is not connected or not in adjustment. See the topic, Hitch Control Adjustment, Hitch Position Linkage. Problem 9: In MAN. (manual) mode, hitch moves for five seconds and then stops. Probable Cause:1. Hitch valve out of adjustment. See the topic, Hitch Control Adjustment, Calibration (YELLOW LED Code 6). Problem 10: In AUT. (automatic) mode, RED LED Code 4 or 5 and incomplete or no movement of the hitch. [Hitch operates when powered up in MAN. (manual) mode.] Probable Cause:1. Harness A or B is bad. Disconnect harness A from the hitch position rotary sensor. On the 3 pin harness A connector, there should be 11 to 15 volts between pin A and pin B. There should be 8 1 volts between pin C and pin B. Also, there should be a short circuit current of 2.4 mA between pin C and pin B.If one or more of the above values are other than noted, check the controller (see Step 2 below). If the controller is good, repair or replace harness A or B.2. Controller is bad. Disconnect the controller at the 24-pin connector. Replace the old controller with a new controller. If the problem is corrected, reconnect the old controller. If the problem occurs again, the controller or connector is bad. Replace controller. Make sure there is no intermittent type problem.3. Hitch position rotary sensor is bad. Disconnect hitch rotary sensor linkage. Disconnect harness A from hitch position rotary sensor.Apply + battery (12 V) to rotary sensor connector pin A and (-) battery (ground) to Pin B. Voltage at socket 3 should change smoothly from 0.4 V to 3.6 V as the rotary sensor is rotated from stop-to-stop.Voltage should be constant when the rotary sensor is not turned. Problem 11: In AUT. (automatic) mode and MAN. (manual) mode, hitch does not move and YELLOW LED FLASHES Code 2; or hitch operates in AUT. (automatic) MODE, but not in MAN. (manual) mode. Probable Cause:1. Linkage to the hitch control lever rotary sensor is not connected to the rotary sensor or the linkage to the rotary sensor is out of adjustment (hitch control lever linkage may need to be adjusted). See the topic, Hitch Control Adjustment, Hitch Control Lever Linkage. Problem 12: In AUT. (automatic) mode and MAN. (manual) mode, hitch does not move and RED LED FLASHES Code 6 or Code 7. Probable Cause:1. Harness B is bad. Disconnect harness B from hitch lever position rotary sensor. Turn the engine start key switch to ACC. (accessory). At the 3 pin connector on harness B, Pin A to pin B voltage should be 11 V to 15 V. Across pin C to pin B there should be 8 1 V. Also, short circuit current from pin C to pin B should be 2.4 mA.If one or more of the above values are other than noted, check the controller (see Step 2 below). If the controller is good, repair or
