The Electronic Control Module (ECM) detects the following condition:
The engine prelubrication system has been bypassed.The prelubrication system is bypassed when all of the following conditions occur in order:
The keyswitch is turned to the CRANK position.
The prelubrication oil pump is engaged.
The keyswitch is turned to the OFF/RESET position before the prelubrication system stops running.
The keyswitch is turned to the CRANK position.System Response:The ECM will log the event. The event may be viewed on a display module or the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET). The engine starts without completing the prelube cycle.Possible Performance Effect:
