Implement System Event Identifier (EID) Codes
EID Description Possible Cause or Recommended Response
E192-3 Steering System Malfunction Immediate Safe Shut Down of Machine is Required.
Probable Cause - This code could be the result of a failure of a physical component or a failure of an electrical component.
Recommendation - Perform a visual inspection of steering linkages. Use Cat ET to determine if any diagnostic codes related to steering are active or logged. Correct all diagnostic codes.
E263-2 Low Main Pump Pressure Immediate Safe Shut Down is Required.
Probable Cause - Activated when the ECM has detected that the pump pressure is below the low-pressure threshold.
Recommendation - Check hydraulic oil fluid level.
Hydraulic pump has failed.
E263-3
E560-3 Secondary Steering Pump Not Responding To Command Immediate Safe Shut Down is Required.
Probable Cause - Secondary steering test results in insufficient pump pressure.
Possible Causes:
(1) Electrical problem in the secondary steering pump motor circuit.
(2) Mechanical problem with the secondary steering pump.
Recommendation - Refer to Systems Operation & Testing and Adjusting, UENR0376, "Steering Control (Control System)" for more details.
E562-1 Steering Lever has not been aligned to Wheel Steering Angle Probable Cause - Activated at engine start when the Implement ECM is automatically aligning the steering joystick to the angle of the front wheels.
NOTE - The ECM will de-activate this event when the auto alignment is successful.
Recommendation - If this event remains active, check for:
(1) Obstructions that are preventing left/right movement of the joystick.
(2) Active diagnostic codes for the force feedback motor.
(3) System voltage above normal.
If the cause of the auto alignment is not found. Shut down the engine. Wait 30 seconds. Start the engine to initiate another auto alignment attempt.
If second attempt fails, perform manual joystick alignment.
Refer to Systems Operation & Testing and Adjusting, UENR0376, "Steering Control (Control System)".
E598-2 Steering Limited Due to Cold Hydraulic Oil Probable Cause - Cold environment
Recommendation - Allow machine to warmup at low idle before operating or operate the machine in a low gear until oil is warm.
E599-1 Gear Too High for Steering with Cold Oil Immediately Slow the Machine Down, Shift to Second Gear.
Probable Cause - Operation will be limited to Second gear. If in a higher gear, operation will limit to Second gear after downshifting.
Recommendation - Allow the machine to warmup at low idle before operating or operate the machine in First gear or Second gear for warmup.
E599-2 Gear Too High for Steering with Cold Oil Immediately Slow the Machine Down, Shift to Second Gear.
Probable Cause - Operation will be limited to Second gear. If in a higher gear, operation will limit to Second gear after downshifting.
Recommendation - Allow the machine to warmup at low idle before operating or operate the machine in First gear or Second gear for warmup.
E861-1 Clock Manual Alignment Required Probable Cause - The ECM internal clock is also known as an electronic service hour meter. The hour meter is too far out of alignment with other ECM hour meters (greater than 50 hours).
Recommendation - Use Cat ET to synchronize the ECM hour meters. At the top menu, click
