Remove the existing HVAC fresh air intake cover (A) and filter (B). Discard the cover and retain the filter.

Inspect the cab strut lock pin orientation. The open end of the lock pin must face towards the front of the machine and away from the fresh air intake. If the lock pin is facing the opposite direction, reverse the orientation of the pin. Reorientating the lock pin will pose less potential for injury during filter replacement.Installation Procedure
Illustration 4 g03406816
Install the fresh air filter (B) into the air intake. Install the 388-7907 Cover As (4) over the filter in place of the intake cover (A) removed in Step 3.Ensure the tabs of the bracket on the Cover As (4) are inserted into the slots on the A/C plenum bracket (C). Push the cover assembly down towards the ground. Ensure that the detents in the bracket are locked in place Note: Pay special attention to the lower tab on the bracket to ensure proper engagement with the A/C plenum bracket (C). Failure to engage the lower tab could result in decreased filter life, and loss of the Cover As (4) during machine operation. Dealers should instruct customers on the proper filter replacement procedure after the A/C Breather Kit has been installed.Note: Clean and/or replace the fresh air filter as needed prior to reassembly.
