Replace the current EVIM with 193-0258 Engine Vision Interface Module (EVIM).
Update the current Engine Vision software to Version 4.0.
Go to the Configuration Screen and in the top left corner note the baude rate BPS = (19200).
Touch the BPS button. The baud rate should change from BPS = (1900) to BPS = (38400).
The EVIM should switch between E.n.g. to 3.8.4. and back to E.n.g.Procedure 2
Engine Vision Histograms or Totals come up slow or come up with erroneous numbers

Engine Vision and EVIM are at Two Different Baud Rates
A. Synchronizing Engine and EVIM baud ratesThe Engine Vision display and the EVIM are at two different baud rates, and have a baud rate mismatch.
EVIM is set at 38.4 kps baud rate and Engine Vision is set at 19.2 kps baud rate
Go to the Set Baud Rate screen and push BPS. Engine Vision will reset to 38.4 kps baud rate.
EVIM is set at 19.2 kps baud rate and Engine Vision is set at 38.4 baud rate
Disconnect the RS232 cable from the EVIM.
Access the Configuration screen and push the BPS button. Engine Vision will reset the baud rate to 19.2 kps.
Reconnect the cable to the EVIM.Note: 3176B, 3176C, 3196 and 3406E marine engines using the marine Engine Vision display should use the 38.4 kps baud rate. Verify that the current version of Engine Vision software is Version 4.0 by touching the Cat logo. Both files should have a 4.0 extension after them. If a file does not have a 4.0 beside it, then flash in the appropriate Version 4.0 file.

Verify that the touch screen is functioning properly by touching the Main Screen, Next, Previous, Diagnostic, Cat logo or the Next button. If one of the buttons work, then the touch screen is fuctioning properly. If the touch screen appears not to be operating properly, then turn off the power to the display for 60
