Note: The truck should be on a level surface. The pivot pin for the truck body should be installed. The hoist cylinders should be installed.
Raise the truck body or lower the truck body so that the body rails are parallel to the frame rails.
The nominal distance between the body rails and the frame rails is 42 mm (1.7 inch) at each of the eight locations on the rails.
Measure the actual distance between the body rail and the frame rail. Place pad assemblies (1) on the top of the main frame.
As required, use shims (2) in order to produce zero clearance between the rails.
Complete installation of the eight pad assemblies (1) and of the needed shims (2) to the truck body.Procedure To Install Pad Assemblies To The Top Of The Main Crossbeam
Note: The truck should be on a level surface. The pivot pin for the truck body should be installed. The hoist cylinders should be installed.
Align the support on the crossbeam parallel to the front support on the truck body.
The nominal distance between the support on the crossbeam and the front support on the truck body is 44 mm (1.7 inch) at both of the locations.
Place pad assembly (1) on the support on the crossbeam. Measure the actual distance between the support on the crossbeam and the front support on the truck body.
As required, use shims (2) in order to compress pad assemblies (1). Compress pad assemblies (1) by 1.5 mm (0.06 inch).
