The DECS 125-15, Digital Excitation Control System (DECS), is 100% solid state, microprocessor controlled, and provides 0.25% voltage regulation or better. The power input is a single-phase permanent magnet or the input is a three-phase permanent magnet with a frequency range of 50 to 400 Hz at 190 to 277 ACV. The power input that is selected is dependent upon the requirements in the field. Sensing must be RMS, single-phase or three-phase with a nominal input of 100 to 600 ACV, 50 or 60 Hz. The output power conforms to NEMA standard voltage or 125 DCV with a maximum continuous current rating of 15 A. The device provides VAR/Power factor control and the device provides limiting of the excitation without the use of accessory devices. The DECS allows the control setpoint of the regulation to be controlled without the use of a motor operated controller.
