Remove the engine oil pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Pump - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Use Tooling (A) to rotate the crankshaft in order to gain access to the piston cooling jet.
Remove bolt (1) and piston cooling jet (2) . Installation Procedure

Use Tooling (A) to rotate the crankshaft in order to gain access to the piston cooling jet.
Install piston cooling jet (2) and bolt (1) . Tighten bolt (1) to a torque of 25 6 N m (18 4 lb ft). If bolt (1) is a 7/16 inch bolt, tighten bolt (1) to a torque of 40 8 N m (30 6 lb ft).
Check the clearance between the piston, the piston cooling jet, and the crankshaft.Minimum permissible clearance between the piston, the piston cooling jet, and the crankshaft ... 0.63 mm (0.025 inch)End By: Install the engine oil pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Pump - Install".
