23. Put identification marks on nine pistons (34) as to their location in the slipper guide (35) and cylinder block (36). Remove the piston assemblies (34) from the slipper guide (35) and the cylinder block (36).
There is spring force against retainer (37). When retaining ring (38) is removed, the spring force will be released. To prevent possible personal injury, removal of the internal components in cylinder block (36) should be performed in a press in order to retain spring (39) and retainer (37).
24. Put cylinder block (36) in a press. Install a suitable drive plate of the same size as the retainer (37). Put a slight compression on the retainer (37) with the press. Remove the retaining ring (38) and slowly release the spring compression. 25. Remove retainer (37), spring (39) and spring seat (40). 26. Remove hold-down pin (41). 27. Remove gasket (42) and O-ring (43). 28. Remove two rings (44), two orifices (45) and two balls (not shown). Hold-down arm (46) must be removed through outside of rotary housing (2).29. Remove hold-down arm (46) and O-ring (47). 30. Remove valve (48). 31. Remove four O-rings (49) and three back-up rings (50). 32. Remove two plugs (51). During removal, note size and arrangement of springs (52).33. Remove two springs (52), two servo pistons (53), four piston seal rings (54) and two O-rings (55). 34. Remove three plugs (56) and orifice plug (57). 35. Remove five O-rings (58) and two back-up rings (59). 36. Remove plug (60) and O-ring (61). 37. Remove orifice plug (62). 38. Remove two O-rings (63) and two back-up rings (64). 39. Remove two plugs (65). 40. Remove two O-rings (66). 41. Remove sealing nut (67) and setscrew (3). 42. Remove plug (68) and O-ring (69). 43. Remove sealing nut (70) and setscrew (4). The following steps are for the assembly of the propel motor. All motor components must be cleaned and inspected before assembly. If any components are worn beyond recommended limits they must be replaced. Lubricate moving components with clean oil during assembly. Assemble motor with all new seals.44. Install setscrew (4) to measured height from step 3 and install sealing nut (70).45. Install O-ring (69) and plug (68).46. Install setscrew (3) to measured height from step 2 and install sealing nut (67). 47. Install two O-rings (66). 48. Install two plugs (65). 49.
