Introduction
The problem that is identified in the Technical Information Bulletin that follows has a known permanent solution. Use the solution that is identified below.Problem
With the addition of a new wire in the engine interface harness for the EMCP 4.2 packaged C27-T4i and C32 gensets, a path to ground was established for a splice in the digital input 1 (DI1) wiring in the terminal box main harness via the engine shutdown relay coil. Due to this optional input being pulled to ground by genset package wiring, the state of DI1 cannot be changed and therefore utilized.Solution
During generator set pre-delivery inspection or commissioning, perform one of the following change methods in order to allow the correct function of DI1:

Engine Interface Harness Pin-outs (1) Socket 20 (2) Socket 28
Move wire A744-EH17-GY from socket 28 (2) to socket 20 (1) on the engine side (EH-C1) connector receptacle of the 361-7126 Panel Harness As . Refer to Illustration 1 and 2.
Alternatively, cut wire A744-EH17-GY at socket 28 (2) on EH-C1 and insulate the cut wire ends.After performing the desired modification, verify proper function of DI1.
