Removal Procedure
Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire. To help prevent possible injury, turn the start switch off when changing fuel filters or water separator elements. Clean up fuel spills immediately.
Turn the fuel shutoff valve to the CLOSED position.

Disconnect hose assemblies (4) and harness assembly (3) .
Refer to Operation and Maintenance, "Fuel System Primary Filter/Water Separator - Clean/Replace" for the correct removal and installation of primary filter (water separator) (6) .
Disconnect bracket (5) .
Remove bolts (1) and fuel priming pump and filter base (2) .Installation Procedure
Install the fuel priming pump and primary filter (water separator) in the reverse order of removal.
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fuel System - Prime" for the correct priming procedure.
