Information:

to the replacement of the ECM, ensure that replacement is necessary. The ECM is seldom the cause of a failure. Always check that power is available to all the contacts of the ECM that are marked with "+ Battery".Procedure
Turn the disconnect switch and the key start switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the J1 and J2 controller harness connectors from the ECM.
Verify that the part number of the replacement ECM is correct.
Install the replacement ECM.
Connect the J1 and J2 controller harness to the ECM.
Turn the disconnect switch and the key start switch to the ON position.
Verify that the ECM operates correctly.
