Remove engine oil relief valve (1) from the left side of the cylinder block.Note: Check the valve and the valve seat for an abnormal contact pattern. Inspect the spring for weakness or damage. If necessary, replace the engine oil relief valve with a new part.Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Install engine oil relief valve (1) into the left side of the cylinder block.
Tighten the cap of engine oil relief valve (1) to a torque of 49 5 N m (36 4 lb ft).For more information, refer to the Specifications Module, "Engine Oil Relief Valve".
