System Operation Description:The following conditions cause the engine to enter a stop mode:
Loss of a remote initiate signal
Activation of the stop signal input
A data link message calling for an engine shutdownIf the engine is running, the engine will continue to run in cool down. When the cool down interval is complete, the engine will stop. An immediate shutdown due to a critical fault will cause the engine to shut down and the cool down timer to be bypassed.ReferenceFor more information on setting the cool down duration set point, refer to Testing and Adjusting, RENR7902, "Electronic Control Module (Generator Set) - Configure".The code for the engine cool-down is generated when the EMCP 3 determines that an engine cool-down is in progress. The engine will continue to run until the cool down duration time has expired.Test Step 1.
