During assembly, all bearing mounting surfaces, frame mounting surfaces, mounting bolts and washer must be clean, dry, and free of foreign material.
1 42 395-5432 Bolt Use the following procedure to tighten the bolt in the numerical sequence as shown in the Illustration 1:
1. Before assembly, apply lubricant to threads and under all bolt heads.
2. Install all bolts.
3. Keeping each bolt with the respective hole, remove one bolt and again apply lubricant to the threads, beneath the bolt head and install the bolt. Use air impact wrench for tightening.
4. Repeat the same procedure for all remaining bolts.
5. Hand tighten all bolts.
6. Tighten all bolts in sequence shown to 260 7 N m (192 5 lb ft).
7. Again tighten all bolt in sequence to 608 15 N m (448 12 lb ft).
8. Final tighten all bolts to 868 24 N m (640 18 lb ft).
