The counterweight has been removed from the machine for better photo illustration of the fuel filter and fuel filter base.1. Open the hood of the machine, and lock it in the "Open" position. 2. Use Tool (A) to remove fuel filter (4) from the fuel filter base.3. Disconnect three hose assemblies (3) from the fuel filter base.4. Remove two bolts (2) and fuel filter base (1). The following steps are for the installation of the fuel filter base and fuel filter.5. Check the condition of the O-ring seals used in the ends of three hose assemblies (3) that connect to the fuel filter. If any of the seals are damaged, use new parts for replacement.6. Install the fuel filter base and fuel filter in the reverse order of removal.7. For further information regarding filter installation and service intervals, see the Operation & Maintenance Manual.
