Remove the radiator cover.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Remove clip (1) and remove bracket assembly (2).

Remove hoses (5). Loosen nuts (3) and reposition tube (4).

Remove tubes (6).

Attach a suitable lifting device to aftercooler (8). The weight of aftercooler (8) is approximately 50 kg (110 lb). Remove bolts (7) and remove aftercooler (8).

Remove bolts (9) and remove the brackets.Installation Procedure
Install aftercooler (8) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolts (9).
Tighten nuts (3) to a torque of 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft)
