Linkage (From Rockshaft To Hitch Position Sensor)1. Linkage to hitch position sensor (potentiometer) is not connected or not in adjustment. See the section Hitch Control Adjustment, Hitch Sensor Linkage. Problem 9: In HOOKUP MODE, hitch moves for five seconds and then stops. Probable Cause:1. Hitch valve out of adjustment. See the section Hitch Control Adjustment, Calibration (YELLOW LED Code 6). Problem 10: In OPERATING MODE, RED LED Code 4 or 5 and incomplete or no movement of the hitch. (Hitch will operate when powered up in HOOKUP MODE.) Probable Cause:1. Harness V or K is bad. Disconnect harness V from the hitch position sensor. On the 3 pin harness V connector, there should be 11 to 15 volts between socket 1 and pin 2. There should also be 8 volts between pin 2 and pin 3. Also, there should be a short circuit current of 2.4 mA between pin 2 and pin 3. If one or more of the above values are other than noted, check the controller (see Step 2).
