Remove Steering Neutralizer Valves
START BY:a. remove lower cab shrouds *
To prevent personal injury, release the pressure from the air reservoir before any lines are disconnected.
The procedure to remove the right steering neutralizer valve and the left steering neutralizer valve is the same, except there is one less tube assembly connected to the left steering neutralizer valve. The right steering neutralizer valve is shown. 1. Disconnect three tube assemblies (1) and (2) from the steering neutralizer valve.2. Disconnect hose assembly (3) from the steering neutralizer valve. 3. Remove three bolts (5) and steering neutralizer valve (4).*If only removing the left steering neutralizer valve, remove only the front left hand shroud. If only removing the right steering neutralizer valve, remove only the right hand shroud. Install Steering Neutralizer Valves
Put clip that holds tube assembly (2) in position on the steering neutralizer valve before installing the bolts that hold the steering neutralizer valve in place.1. Put steering neutralizer valve (1) in position, and install the three bolts that hold it. 2. Connect three tube assemblies (5) and (4) to the steering neutralizer valve.3. Connect hose assembly (3) to the steering neutralizer valve.4. START BY:a. remove steering neutralizer valves 1. Remove boot (1) from valve body (2). 2. Remove plug (3) and O-ring seal (4).3. Remove spring (5) and valve spool (6) from the valve body. 4. Remove bolt (7), lockwasher and washer from the spool. 5. Remove plug (11) and O-ring seal (10).6. Remove spring (9) and ball (8) from the valve body. 7. Remove lip-type seal (12) from the valve body.Assemble Steering Neutralizer Valves
1. Install the lip-type seal with tooling (A) as shown. 2. Put ball (1) and spring (2) in position. Install O-ring seal (4) and plug (3) into the valve body. 3. Install washer (6), lockwasher and bolt (5) on valve spool (7). 4. Put a small amount of oil on the valve spool and the lips of the lip-type seal.5. Put valve spool (7) and spring (10) in position in the valve body. Install O-ring seal (9) and plug (8). 6. Install boot (11) on the valve body.END BY:a. install steering neutralizer valves
