2     16     168-7800 Locknut     Before assembly, apply Loctite Nickel Anti Seize to the threads of the locknut.    
Torque to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
3     16     6V-5101 O-Ring Seal     Lubricate the bore of the O-ring seal lightly with glycerine or with approved equivalent.

4     4     7E-1397 Pipe Clamp     Before assembly, apply Loctite Nickel Anti Seize to the threads and washer face of the pipe clamp.    
Torque to
27 3 N m (239 27 lb in).
5     4     6L-3005 Band Clamp     Use the following procedure in order to tighten the band clamp:    
1. Tighten the clamp to
9.5 1.0 N m (84.0 9.0 lb in).
2. Gently tap around the clamp.
3. Again tighten the clamp to
9.5 1.0 N m (84.0 9.0 lb in).
6     12     9F-2773 Bolt     Use the following procedure in order to tighten the bolts for aftercooler assembly:    
1. Assemble seals to the aftercooler core.
2. Temporarily secure the bottom seal with tape. Do not use an adhesive, a silicone lubricant, or any other lubricant for retention of the seal.
3. Assemble the aftercooler with the seals to the inlet manifold.
4. Inspect the bottom seal in order to ensure that the seating is correct in the recess.
5. Install the aftercooler cover.
6. Inspect the upper seal in order to ensure that the seating is correct in the recess.
7. Install the cover bolts and hand tighten the bolts.
8. Tighten the bolts according to the numerical sequence to
24 N m (18 lb ft).
Refer to Illustration 3 for tightening sequence.
9. Tighten the bolts again according to the numerical sequence to
47 N m (35 lb ft).
10. Remove the tape.
7     3     5P-8940 O-Ring Seal     Lubricate the bore of the O-ring seal lightly with glycerine or with approved equivalent.
