Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to exhaust manifold (6). The weight of exhaust manifold (6) is approximately 136 kg (300 lb).

Position exhaust manifold (6) and the seals.
Apply Tooling (B) to bolts (5) and the washers.
Install bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 55 5 N m (41 4 lb ft).
Apply Tooling (B) to clamp (8).
Position clamp (8).
Apply Tooling (B) to bolt (7).
Install bolt (7). Tighten bolt (7) to a torque of 25 6 N m (18 4 lb ft).
If necessary, install the thermocouples on exhaust manifold (6). Apply Tooling (C) to the thermocouples prior to installation. If the thermocouples are straight, tighten the nuts to a torque of 25 5 N m (18 4 lb ft). If the thermocouples have a 90 degree bend, tighten the nuts to a torque of 12 3 N m (105 27 lb in).
Connect harness assemblies (4).

Install shield assembly (3).
Install shield assemblies (2) and plates (1).
