Remove the fuel injectors of the affected cylinders and evacuate any fluid that is present.

Remove and replace the affected cylinder packs with new cylinder packs. The cylinder pack includes the piston, connecting rod, cylinder liner, and cylinder liner cuff.Note: Replacement of the cylinder pack is necessary because if the cylinder has a hydraulic lock, the connecting rod may bend. A bent connecting rod can break during operation and cause cylinder block ventilation.

Remove and inspect the intake manifold components of the affected cylinders. Evacuate any fluid or debris found in the manifold.
Remove all air lines and hoses going from the engine to and from the ATAAC. Ensure that all lines are free of debris or fluid of any kind prior to reinstallation. Also, ensure that the ATAAC has been inspected and is free of debris and coolant.Note: Failure to clean air lines or ATAAC cores of debris or fluid can result is subsequent engine failures.
