Be certain that all the parts of the metering pump are clean and there is no dirt and debris. Do not use cloth or paper towels to dry parts. Lint or other material can get into the hydraulic system. This can cause damage to the components. Replace any parts that have scratches or burns which could result in leaks.
Note: Inspect the O-ring seals. Replace any O-ring seals that are worn or damaged.Note: Before installation, apply 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound to the O-ring seals.

Use Tool (A) to install seal (24), if the seal was replaced.Note: For installation purposes, pay close attention to the orientation of the springs.
Install four springs (23) .

Note: The alignment marks at points (X) and (Y) are for installation purposes.
Combine control sleeve (16) and spool (20) .

Note: When the pin is installed, align the pin in the metering body and the gerotor assembly, as shown above.
Install pin (22) .
Install ring (21) .

Note: Pay attention to the order of the disassembly. Pay attention to the mating sides of components (17), (18), and (19) .
Install spacer (19), thrust washer (18), and spacer (17) in control sleeve (16) and gerotor body (9). Install control sleeve (16) .

Install O-ring seal (15) on body (9) .Note: During assembly, be careful so that ball (12) does not fall out of the hole that is indicated by the arrow. Special bolt (4) contains the ball after the ball is installed.
Install ball (12) .
Install spacer plate (11) .
Install gerotor (8) and ground drive control (10) .
Install O-ring seal (14) .
Install gerotor housing (6) .
Install cover (7) and O-ring seal (13) on the metering pump.

Install one bolt (4) and one washer (5) in order to connect the body to the pump. Install six bolts (2) and six washers (3) .Note: When the bolts are installed, the bolts should be tightened to a torque of 30 5 N m (22.1 3.7 lb ft).Note: There is a roll pin that is pressed into the bottom of bolt (4). This roll pin prevents ball (12) from entering the passage that is indicated by the arrow.
