Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the governor drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Governor Drive - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove bolts (4). Remove thrust washer (3). Remove shaft assembly (8) from housing assembly (1). Note: If removal is necessary, remove gear (2) from shaft assembly (8).
Remove bolts (6). Remove thrust washer (5). Remove pinion (9) from housing assembly (1). Remove coupling (7). Note: If removal is necessary, remove the bearings from housing assembly (1). Replace the old bearings with new bearings. When the pinion bearing is being installed, press the bearing until the bearing is flush with the top of the counterbore.
