Component Location (3) Priority valve (4) Test port for priority valve (5) Gear pump (6) Test port (7) Hydraulic tankThe following components are part of the steering system: the steering cylinder (1), metering pump (2), priority valve (3), gear pump (5) and the hydraulic tank (7) .The machine has one hydraulic tank (7) and the tank is located on the right side of the machine below the cab. The tank supplies oil to the following systems: the hydrostatic system, the braking system, the steering system and the work tools. The oil flows from the hydraulic tank to the gear pump (5).

(5) Gear Pump (A) Work tool and steering pump (B) Pump for the fan and couplerA two-section gear pump (5) is mounted to the hydrostatic pump. The first section is used for the work tools and the steering system (A). The second section is used for the circuit for the fan and coupler (B). The oil flows from the work tool and steering pump (A) to the priority valve (3) .The priority valve (3) sends oil to the steering system and the work tools. When the machine is not articulating, most of the oil flow is sent to the work tools. When the machine articulates, the priority valve sends oil to the metering pump (2). The metering pump meters flow to the steering cylinder (1) and the machine articulates. The machine articulates proportionally to the turning speed of the steering wheel. Return oil from the steering system returns to the hydraulic tank.
