1. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.2. Mark or identify all electrical wires for installation purposes. Disconnect electrical wires (1) and (4) from alternator (3).3. Loosen bolts (2) and (6). Rotate the alternator toward the engine, and remove two V-belts (5) from the alternator pulley.4. Remove bolts (2) and (6), and remove alternator (3) from the engine. If the alternator pulley was removed, apply 9S3263 Thread Lock on the threads and tighten the alternator pulley nut to a torque of 90 15 N m (65 11 lb ft). When installing the alternator, the alternator pulley must be aligned with the crankshaft pulley within 2.4 mm (0.09 in).
