( 1 ) Any of the pumps may be used for this procedure.Start By:
Remove the camshaft segments. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Camshaft - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

156-7155 Camshaft Bearing Tool Group (Tooling (A) ) (1) Pilot (2) Plate (3) Bolt (4) Rod (5) Hydraulic cylinder (6) BridgeNote: Pilot (1) and bolt (3) are not required for this procedure.Note: Each side of bridge (6) has a different outside diameter. The larger side can be inserted into an empty cylinder block bore for a camshaft bearing. The smaller side can be inserted into the bore of a camshaft bearing that is installed.
Screw rod (4) into hydraulic cylinder (5). Attach bridge (6) to the hydraulic cylinder. Attach Tooling (B) to the hydraulic cylinder. Insert the bridge of the assembly into a bore that is adjacent to the camshaft bearing that will be removed.
Insert plate (2) into the camshaft bearing. Use Tooling (B) to engage rod (4) with the plate.

Hold Tooling (A) in order to prevent Tooling (A) from falling when the camshaft bearing is removed. Use Tooling (A) to push camshaft bearing (7) out of the cylinder block.
Remove the camshaft bearing and Tooling (A) from the cylinder block.
Repeat this procedure for the other camshaft bearings.
