Install seat cushion tilt lever assembly (31) on the seat pan assembly. Slide spring (25) into the lever. Install three roll pins (30) in seat cushion tilt lever assembly (31). Hook up spring (25) to the roll pin. Install handle (29) on seat cushion tilt lever assembly (31).
Install lever assembly (27) for seat cushion adjustment on the seat pan assembly. Slide spring (28) into the lever. Slide the lever to the inboard side of the seat in order to engage the lever with inside tab (B). Install roll pin (26) in lever assembly (27). Install handle (32) in lever assembly (27).
Illustration 7 g00275681Note: When the armrests are removed, the back panel and springs will be removed at the same time.
Install the bushing, the spacer and left armrest (22). Install bolt (23) and the lock washer. Install bolt (24).
Use the procedure in Step 9 to install the right armrest.

Hook up adjuster (17) for the seat back to cable (21) and install retainer clip (20). Install retainer clip (20) and cable (21) as a unit in the spring lever.

Install pin (19) and retainer clip (18) on each end of adjuster (17).
Lift lever (A) in order to allow the seat backrest to pivot backward.

Install the seat backrest and seat pan assembly (15) on upper slide plate (16). Install six bolts (13) and (14). Install two bolts (12) and the locknuts.

Install seat belt retractor (11). Install the bolt that holds seat belt retractor (11) to the seat. Install comfort ride sleeve (9). Install the nut and bolt (10) that holds comfort ride sleeve (9) to the seat.

There is spring force against the seat tilt plate when the seat tilt plate is being installed.To prevent personal injury, retain the seat tilt plate by hand during installation.
Install two springs (7) in the plate. Pull up on seat cushion tilt lever (8) and install plate (6). Hold down plate (6) and install two cotter pins (5).

Install bottom seat cushion (4) on the seat tilt pan.

Install seat cushion (3) on the seat backrest.

Install two bushings (2) on the seat assembly. Turn each bushing clockwise by 1/4 of a turn in order to install the bushings.

Install back extension (1) on the seat assembly. The back extension is a slip fit.

Adjust the cable to the proper position after the seat has been assembled. Use the adjuster (17) in order to adjust the cable. The cable should not be tight. A small amount of slack should be present in the cable. The cable should move slightly before the seat will recline.
Install the contour series seat in the machine.
