Typical example
Clean the bore for the fuel injection nozzle in the cylinder head. Ensure that no debris enters the cylinder. Clean the threads on the body of the fuel injection nozzle.
Install new seat washers (3) into the bore for the fuel injection nozzle in the cylinder head. Note: C0.5 and C0.7 engines have two seat washers. The seat washers are different diameters. C1.1/3011C, C1.5/3013C, C1.6, C2.2/3024C and C2.2/3024CT engines have one seat washer.
Apply a bead of 239-3312 Sealant (2) to the first two threads of the fuel injection nozzle that engage into the cylinder head. The bead of sealant should have a diameter of 2 mm (0.08 inch) and a length of 6 mm (0.25 inch). Note: Ensure that the sealant does not cover the body of the fuel injection nozzle below the threads.
Install the fuel injection nozzle (1) into the cylinder head. Use a deep socket to tighten the fuel injection nozzle to a torque of 64 N m (47 lb ft). Note: If a new fuel injection nozzle has been installed, do not make any adjustments to the engine controls. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Engine Speed - Check" for more information.End By:
Install the fuel injection lines. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Injection Lines - Remove and Install".
