Front axle oil fill plug

Rear axle oil fill plug
Remove the axle oil fill plug.
Obtain a sample of the axle oil through the hole for the oil fill plug.
Install oil fill plug.Refer to Special Publication, SEBU6250, "Caterpillar Machine Fluids Recommendations", "S O S Oil Analysis" for more information on obtaining a sample of the final drive oil.
