Inside the cab find the upper right-hand switch panel and install rocker switch (64) at the location shown in the illustration.

Remove cover and hardware (EA).

Attach relay assembly (63) below fuse block (EB) and secure with bolt (66).Connect harness assembly (65) to relay assembly (63)
Connect E947-WH conductor (65A) to fuse position number 6 in the fuse block (EB). Ensure that there is a 10 amp fuse in the fuse panel.
Route the harness assembly (65) to the connector (EC). Secure cab harness (65) with cable straps (67).
Insert the conductors from cab harness assembly (65) into connector (EC) as follows:
H747-BR conductor (E2) to the number 2 position
E947-WH conductor (E4) to the number 4 position
H746-YL conductor (E5) to the number 5 position
Reinstall the cover and hardware (EA).Group A

Note: This feature is configurable and must be activated with PSPS or a service tool.
Use a Caterpillar Electronic Technician and select the proper Electronic Control Module.
Select "SERVICE" from the menu.
Select "CONFIGURATION" from the menu.
Double click on the desired feature on the Configuration screen.
Select the desired status of the feature and click "OK".
The feature will be activated on the next power cycle.Note: Refer to 342-8593 Standard Configuration (Variable Pitch Fan).
