Stopping
1. Reduce engine speed and apply service brakes to stop Skidder. 2. Shift range selector to NEUTRAL.Parking
1. Engage transmission safety lock. 2. Engage parking brake. 3. Lower blade to ground. 4. Move winch or grapple controls to HOLD. (518 control shown).Stopping the Engine
1. Before stopping the engine, operate machine at reduced load for 5 minutes. 2. Reduce engine speed to low idle for 30 seconds. 3. Lift accelerator past detent and hold to stop engine. 4. Turn disconnect switch OFF and remove key. 5. Use step and grab irons when dismounting. Clean all debris from turbocharger area and exhaust manifold to reduce fire hazard. At the end of each working day, drain condensation from air reservoir. Remove all flammable debris from front bottom guard to reduce fire hazard.
