Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate speed dial (4) to the MINIMUM position.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
Move propel mode switch (3) to the PAVE position.Note: The machine must be in PAVE mode in order to operate the screed lift system.

Move screed lift switch (5) to the FLOAT position. Allow the screed to lower to the ground.Note: The screed lift switch on both instrument panels must be in the FLOAT position in order for the screed to lower.
After the screed rests on the ground, move screed lift switch (5) to the HOLD position.

Press lower lock key (6), in order to engage the screed lower lock function.

Move throttle control switch (7) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.

Use up arrow (9) and down arrow (10) to adjust the setting for screed assist pressure. Set the pressure to 25 psi. Press OK (11) to save the value.

Monitor counterbalance pressure on the "Performance Parameters" screen. The pressure should be approximately equal to the screed assist pressure set in Step 14.

Monitor counterbalance pressure on the "Performance Parameters" screen. The pressure should be approximately equal to the screed assist pressure set in Step 22.

If the pressure reading increased, go to Step 28. If the pressure did not increase, move engine start switch (12) to the OFF position, and troubleshoot the screed assist pressure sensor and/or the screed assist solenoid.
The system has a range of 0 to 900 psi. The system does not have a specified setting for paving and is adjustable to a desired setting by the screed operator. If no operator is available, set screed assist pressure to 75 psi.
Move engine start switch (12) to the OFF position. The test is complete.
