1. Remove cover (2) and the O-ring seal from the valve body. Check the condition of the O-ring seal. If the seal has damage, use a new part for replacement.2. Remove cover (1) and the O-ring seal from the valve body. Check the condition of the seal. If the seal has damage, use a new part for replacement.3. Remove the valve spool assembly, spacers and spring from the valve body. 4. Remove the ring, retainer, spring and the poppet from valve spool (3).5. Remove the sending unit from the valve body.Assemble Torque Converter Outlet Relief Valve
1. Make sure all the parts of the valve are clean and free of dirt before its assembled. Put clean oil on all the parts of the valve. 2. Install poppet (4), spring (3), retainer (2) and ring (1) in valve spool (5). 3. Install the O-ring seal and cover (11) on the valve body.4. Install spacers (8) in spool assembly (7). Install spring (3) and the valve spool assembly in valve body (10) as shown.5. Install the O-ring seal and cover (6).6. Install sending unit (12).End By:a) install torque converter outlet relief valve
