Assembly Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths of rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision component. Perform assembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.Note: Lubricate the internal components with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Install the O-ring seal to plug (15). Install plug (15).
Install the two O-ring seals to cover (17). Install cover (17).
If removed, install spacer (16).

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install shims (12) in spool (11). Install spool (11) and spring (13) in the valve body.
Install O-ring seal (14) to plug (10).

Install valves (8) and springs (9) in their original locations.

Install sleeves (7), spring (6) and sleeves (5) to valve spool (4).

Install valve spool assembly (4).

Install the O-ring seals to cover (3). Install cover (3).
Install flanges (2) to secondary steering diverter valve (1).
