To align the piston cooling jet, use the following procedure:
Build an alignment gauge (4) out of 3 mm (0.12 inch) plexiglass. For the correct dimensions, see the print for FT-2736 Alignment Gauge .
Install the alignment gauge on pins (1) of the cylinder head.
Insert a rod (2) that is 1.2 mm (0.05 inch) in diameter into each piston cooling jet. The rods must protrude through holes (3) in order for the piston cooling jet to be aligned properly. If the rods do not protrude through the holes in the alignment tool, bend the piston cooling jet. Check the rods again for correct alignment.
Remove the alignment gauge and the rods.

To align the piston cooling jet, use the following procedure:
