SPIDER & BEARING ASSEM. 3H7364 - Caterpillar

1. Make sure the bucket is flat on the ground and all the hydraulic pressure is released with the control levers.2. Remove bolt (3) that holds upper hinge pin (4) to the bucket. Remove upper hinge pin (4) and plates (1) on each side of the link assembly.3. Lower the link assembly (2) on to the lift arms. 4. Remove nuts and bolts (6). Remove pin (7). Remove plates (5) and link assembly (2) from the lever.5. Remove the seals and bearing from each end of the link assembly (2) with tooling (A). The following steps are for installation of the link assemblies. 6. Lower the temperature of the bearings and install a bearing in each end of link assembly (2) with tooling (A). Install the bearing 7.87 mm (.31 in.) below the outside surface.7. Put link assembly (2) in position in the bucket assembly. Put plates (1) in position as needed to put link assembly (2) in the center position on the bucket assembly. Install upper hinge pin (4). Install the bolt (3) that holds the upper hinge pin in place.8. Put 5P960 Multipurpose Grease in the fittings for the pins.
