Updated cold engine firing strategy to improve engine idle stability.
Updated exhaust temperature detection strategy by lowering the threshold for level 2 events to reduce damage to exhaust components.
Air filter restriction derate strategy was determined to be redundant has been eliminated.
Updated coolant purge strategy to only activate and cycle the electronic thermostat when ECM power is interrupted. The new purge strategy will minimize cold water ingestion during hot start.Adaptable To: The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.The new 542-6405 Engine Software replaces the former 512-1397 Engine Software.
