Replaced by gear for hydramechanical protective system drive or adapter for accessory drive.(7) Bolts that hold camshaft drive gears (1) in position. Install the gears as follows: a. Pin both camshafts and put camshaft drive gears (1) in position on each camshaft taper.b. For correct timing, all gear clearance (backlash) must be removed. Turn camshaft drive gears (1) in the same direction as crankshaft rotation and hold in this position.c. Install plates (2) and (6) to hold the camshaft drive gears (1) to each camshaft.d. Tighten bolts (7) in steps to a torque of ... 360 50 N m (265 35 lb.ft.)e. Hit bolts (7) and again tighten the bolts to a torque of ... 360 50 N m (265 35 lb.ft.)
