CTP 7N8253 Standard Fan for Models 924F, 924F, D5H, IT24F
CTP Improved fuel efficiency, up to 1.5% depending on the application and duty cycle || Individually reverse each blade by simply pushing inward (towards the hub) to compress the spring and then begin to rotate the blade; it should only turn in one direction || Once the blade begins to rotate, you no longer need to keep pushing inward; continue to turn the blade toward the desired position; continue to reverse the remaining blades so that they are all in the same position || Once the blade is rotated fully to the desired position, the blade will "spring" outward and lock itself into place; Now the blade will not be able to be turned around without pushing it inward again; The reversing of one blade is now complete || Now that all of the blades have been reversed, the fan will force the air in the opposite direction; You are now ready to re-install the guarding, unlock the ignition switch, and continue operating the equipment with increased comfort

Beginning 1March 2005, through approximately 1March 2006, certain packaged engine generator sets were shipped with incorrect reactance and per unit impedance characteristics imprinted on the generator film. Other data for the generator that is imprinted on the generator film may also be incorrect. The 118-8452 Film is the affected part number. The film is printed specifically for each generator.Note: Reactances and per unit impedances may be used by engineers, contractors, service personnel, maintenance personnel, and other people in order to calculate generator response characteristics and available fault current in an electrical distribution system. Other data may be used in order to determine the proper generator operation and application.Caterpillar's Technical Marketing Information (TMI) system shall be considered as the one safe source for the generator reactance and per unit impedance characteristics. As dealers determine or are made aware of the need to provide generator reactance and/or per unit impedance information, or as dealers determine or are made aware that other information on the generator film may be incorrect, they shall:
Consult with TMI.
Compare the TMI data to that printed on the generator film.If any discrepancies are noted, then contact the Application Support Center (ASC) in order to request a new generator film. Please provide the ASC with the:
Generator arrangement number
Generator serial number
Package sales order numberThe new generator film will be created and sent with a new protective overlay film at no charge. In order to obtain new generator films for each generator purchased on or after 1March 2005, please submit one request to the ASC providing the above information.A corrective action has been developed and carried out for the generator film printing system.
