Install the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install".Note: The removal of the front tire and rim assemblies is the same as the procedure for the removal of the rear tire and rim assemblies.
Follow the recommended procedure for removal and installation of tires and or wheel assemblies.Ensure that the machine and tire and or wheel assembly are properly supported at all times.Improper procedures that are used to remove and install tires and or wheel assemblies can result in personal injury or death.
Improper blocking of the rear axle housing can cause personal injury.The rear axle housing is made to oscillate. During removal and installation of the rear tires and rims, the rear axle housing must be prevented from oscillating.Place wood blocks between the rear axle housing and the rear main frame to prevent oscillation of the rear axle housing.

Install wood block (1) between the rear axle housing and the rear frame on both sides of the machine, as shown. The rear axle will be prevented from oscillating.Note: The blocks should be a neat fit.

Typical example
Raise the rear of the machine and place Tooling (B) under the machine in the position shown in Illustration 2.
Raise the front of the machine and place Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) under the machine in the position shown in Illustration 2.
Lower the worktool to the ground.

Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (E). The weight of Tooling (E) is approximately 425 kg (935 lb).
Position Tooling (E) on tire and rim assembly (3), as shown.
Use Tooling (D) (not shown) to remove 36 nuts (2) (not shown) from the rim.
Remove tire and rim assembly (3). The combined weight of tire and rim assembly (3) and of Tooling (E) is approximately 1800 kg (3970 lb).
Repeat Step 5 through Step 8 to remove the remaining tire and rim assemblies.
