Inspect 469-7628 Lifting Device before each use. Do not use any tool that is damaged, altered, or in poor condition.Note: For more information on specific C175 gear cluster disassembly and assembly, refer to the appropriate manual for the vehicle being serviced.
Insert Lifting Rod (2) into the Front Gear Cluster Assembly (figure 1). Once Lifting Rod is in the assembly, attach the Lifting Disc (4) to the end of the Lifting Rod (figure 2).
Use overhead lifting device to lift attached front gear clusters to desired location.Maintenance
Inspection
Inspect prior to each use for nicks, burrs, dents, cracks, bends, or worn parts. If damage is found, discontinue use until inspected and released for use by an approved inspector at the dealership.
Have tools inspected annually by an approved dealership inspector. Maintain a written record of all inspections.
Make sure eyebolt assembly lift (1) is fully attached and screwed into the lifting rod (2).
Make sure bottom of lifting rod where lifting disc attaches has no signs of damage, cracks, bends, or other deformities.
Make sure lifting disc (4) has no signs of damage, cracks, bends, or other deformities in the plastic.
