This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3996" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3996" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The 3516 Engine used in 793 and 793B Trucks does not have enough breather capacity, especially at high altitudes. The addition of two breathers will allow the oil to be fully separated from the crankcase gases. The result will be less oil passing through the breathers.

Install two additional breathers on all 3516 Engines used in 793 and 793B Trucks. To be consistent with production, the breathers need to be installed on cylinders 6 and 8.
