PELJ1016-02 ?2011 Caterpillar CAT REMAN ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL REMAN UNDERCARRIAGE OPTIONS
Product Introduction
Additional part numbers have been added to the Reman program for TTT Undercarriage components effective 2ndQuarter of 2010. These additional parts fill some gaps in the product line that was made available in 2009. Like all Reman products, these Undercarriage components will be remanufactured using state-of-the-art and proven salvage capabilities to offer a like-new component at a fraction of the price.
Components available include: Equalizer Bars, Pivot Shafts and Front Track Roller Frames. The following chart shows all parts currently available through the Reman program.
Always remember that during the initial product introduction, many orders for Reman components may be filled with new to seed the Reman introduction as per Reman policies. In those cases, the parts system may not always show availability for the Reman part but orders will still be filled as long as new parts are available. Parts Availability Commitment
As stated in SELD0122 Policies and Core Management, Caterpillar is committed to lead the industry in overall parts availability and customer service. Caterpillar may fulfill this commitment by using new parts or components to help satisfy demand for Remanufactured Products.
The ANTARES EZ-21 screen should be used to determine where Reman parts orders CAN be filled with new (seeded). The msg column on the far right side of the screen can be used as the indicator. The messages codes used have the following meaning:
REE ? indicates a Reman equivalent part is available for the New part number
RMN ? indicates the Reman part is set up to "Fill with New" if Reman is not available.
If the field is blank or has any other message, the Reman part is not set up for "fill with new".
