Connect terminal (1) to a 27 0.3 volt power supply. Connect terminal (2) to the test resistance (rheostat). Use an ohmmeter across the test resistance in order to verify the settings of the test resistance. Connect terminal (3) to ground.
Warm the gauge for a minimum of five minutes before testing the gauge.
Test and check the gauge at each pointer position. Refer to table 1. Check the gauge with an ascending pointer.
If the gauge does not indicate the correct pointer position that is within the range of each test resistance, replace the gauge.
