Put identification as to the location of all parts for correct installation. 1. Tilt instrument panel (1) in the position shown in the illustrations. See REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL.2. Remove bolt (2) and decelerator pedal (3) and washer from the shaft. 3. Remove adjustment screws (4) and (7) from the control lever. Remove spring pin (5) with a punch and a hammer. Remove control lever (6) and the washer behind it from the shaft. 4. Remove two bolts (8) and remove cover (9).5. Remove two bolts (10) from each side of the dash. 6. Remove six bolts (11) and bracket (12). Push dash (13) out of the way. 7. Remove bolts (14) and cover (15). 8. Remove the bolts that hold levers (17) and (19) in place. Slide shafts (16) and (20) from the bracket. Remove washers (18) from each side as the shaft is removed. 9. Remove four bolts (21) and bracket (22). 10. Remove four bearings (23) from bracket (22) with tool (A). 11. Remove cotter pins (25) and pins (24) that hold levers (17) and (19) to the rods. Remove levers (17) and (19).Install Governor And Decelerator Group
For correct installation and adjustment of the governor and decelerator group, see TESTING AND ADJUSTING Form No. SENR7486. 1. Put levers (2) and (3) in position on the rods. Install pins (1) and the cotter pins that hold the levers in place. 2. Install four bearings (4) with tool (A) in bracket (5). 3. Install bracket (5) on the firewall. 4. Slide shaft (6) through bracket (5), washer (8), lever (7), washer and bracket. Do this for lever (9) also. 5. Install two bolts (11) and (12) that hold the levers to the shafts.6. Install cover (10) on the bracket. 7. Put dash (13) in position and install two bolts on each side that hold it in place. 8. Put bracket (14) in position and install the six bolts that hold the bracket in place. Install the cover on bracket (14). 9. Put control lever (15) in its original position and install spring pin (16) that holds the control lever to the shaft. 10. Install adjustment screws (17) and (18) in the control lever.11. Install decelerator pedal (19) on the shaft. Install the bolt that holds it to the shaft.12. Install the instrument panel. See INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL.
