Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire. To help prevent possible injury, turn the start switch off when changing fuel filters or water separator elements. Clean up fuel spills immediately.
Do not allow dirt to enter the fuel system. Thoroughly clean the area around a fuel system component that will be disconnected. Fit a suitable cover over any disconnected fuel system components.
Use a suitable container to catch any fuel that might spill. Clean up any spilled fuel immediately.

Turn off the engine.
Slowly loosen plugs (7) and (9).
Connect the 1U-5470 Engine Pressure Gp into the unfiltered fuel pressure tap (7).
Connect the 1U-5470 Engine Pressure Gp into the filtered fuel pressure tap (9).Test Procedure - Transfer Pump and Manifold Pressure
Start the engine.
Operate the engine at rated speed and load.
Note the pressure readings.If the pressures are not within the specifications, refer to Troubleshooting, "Fuel Pressure Is High (Diesel Fuel)", Troubleshooting, "Fuel Pressure Is Low (Diesel Fuel)", and Troubleshooting, "Fuel Filter Is Restricted".
