Removal Procedure
Open the hood of the machine.

Put identification marks on all alternator wires that are connected to the alternator. Disconnect three alternator wires (5). Disconnect alternator wire (1). Disconnect cables (2) and (6) .
Remove bolt (4). Remove clip (3) .

Remove bolt (7) and the washer.
Loosen the two bolts that hold alternator (9) to the mounting bracket underneath the alternator.
Relieve the tension on two V-belts (8). Remove the V-belts from the alternator.
Remove the two bolts that hold alternator (9) to the mounting bracket. Remove the alternator.Installation Procedure

Position alternator (9) on the mounting bracket. Install the two bolts that fasten the alternator to the mounting bracket.
Install the washer and bolt (7). Do not tighten bolt (7) at this time.
Install two V-belts (8) in position on the alternator pulley.

Connect cables (2) and (6) to the alternator. Connect alternator wire (1) to the alternator. Connect three alternator wires (5) in the original locations on the alternator. Install clip (3) and bolt (4) .
Adjust the tension of the V-belts. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct adjustment procedure.
Open the hood of the machine.

Position alternator (9) on the mounting bracket. Install the two bolts that fasten the alternator to the mounting bracket.
Install the washer and bolt (7). Do not tighten bolt (7) at this time.
Install two V-belts (8) in position on the alternator pulley.

Connect cables (2) and (6) to the alternator. Connect alternator wire (1) to the alternator. Connect three alternator wires (5) in the original locations on the alternator. Install clip (3) and bolt (4) .
Adjust the tension of the V-belts. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct adjustment procedure.
